Cost Controller
F9 Project Services are an established, yet dynamic, project controls firm, providing a wide range of expert, professional and strategic services to many major companies in the resources and construction sectors.
F9 provides planning, scheduling, cost control, forensic planning, claims assistance and project management services to support its client’s requirements during any part of a project life cycle.
The role:
In support of our growing business, F9 has an immediate employment opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our Perth-based team.
You will be offered the opportunity to work with dynamic and experienced project controls professionals on prominent projects for our prestigious clientele throughout Western Australia and beyond. You will be required to provide professional cost management and project controls services to these clients.
In performing your duties, you will be able to call upon and be supported by the F9 team of resources and construction industry professionals. Our team come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, providing a diversity of experience and insight.
Experience:
The successful candidate will be a confident and self-motivated individual with relevant professional qualifications who is capable of working with a high degree of autonomy, whilst also maintaining a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity in their work.
Key Attributes and Deliverables:
Candidates ideally should be able to demonstrate the necessary skills through their previous cost management experience, including past project-based roles.
The following attributes are also highly desirable:
- Proficiency in industry standard software packages.
- Delivery experience of major projects.
- The confidence and ability to engage and present to clients at all levels.
- The confidence to work autonomously within a client environment.
- Maintaining the Project Management System applications including timesheet entry, weekly reports and general client requirements
- Monitoring and controlling cost activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Reconciling progress invoices, data entry, preparation of progress payment certificates
- Experience in the preparation of written reports.
- Ability to develop and maintain cost forecasts and reporting
- Developing work / cost breakdown structure for projects and studies
- Entering and maintaining budgets and forecasts for projects and studies
- Implementing change control process for studies and projects
Able to further develop and maintain existing professional relationships as well as to seek new business opportunities.
