We are currently recruiting for a highly reputable company, Australian owned, who supply products to the construction industry dealing with construction, plumbing, remedial trades people and the like. They have a permanent full time vacancy for a Trade Counter Assistant /Customer Service person in their branch 2km south of the CBD.

The role
The Trade Counter Assistant / Customer Service person is joining a small existing team, fun and friendly team, who are expanding due to a recent long term staff member relocating. Your role will be liaising with customers, via phone and email, also supporting the sales team with quotes and Counter Sales as and when required. It is a busy but very supportive environment.
Duties include:
- Counter sales & Customer Service
- Phone support and answering inbound enquiries via email and verbally
- Outbound calls to your clients, providing quotes and following up on orders
- Relationship building with customers.
- Updating the database and keeping accurate records.
- Send quotes, invoicing, liaising with courier companies, processing orders through to the warehouse
- Follow up and keep customers informed of backorders
- Proven track record in internal sales / trade sales / wholesales environment would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of construction industry products, including sealants, silicones and the like would is highly regarded
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and previous experience using a CRM system
- Able to demonstrate ability to provide quotes and build customer relationships
- Astute and computer literate Retail or trade background experience could be transferrable into the role
