The Role
As the Country Procurement Lead for Pacific, you will create and lead the procurement strategy for the Pacific arm of our well-established portfolio of Enterprise clients – responsible for establishing global strategy at a local level, building out supply chain to accommodate new high-growth business sectors, collaborating in RFPs for new client acquisition, and bolstering our Preferred Supplier Programme.
Reporting into the APAC Head of Procurement, and supported by an offshore “Procurement As A Service” team, you will sit within a wider APAC Procurement team that have won multiple industry CIPS awards for Digital Innovation and Supplier Relationship Management, with a wealth of career development and relocation opportunity and flexibility to work from home.

A typical day may involve:
- Providing effective strategic leadership and operational management for all procurement and supply chain activities across the Pacific region.
- Providing procurement expertise to the Bids Team to inform tendering processes for new clients.
- Developing a Pacific Supply Chain Strategy for 2024 in line with global initiatives, company financial objectives and growth and retention strategies.
- Scoping out specialist contractors and evaluating capabilities required for key Federal Government projects.
- Monitoring and measuring delivery and effectiveness of the Supply Chain strategy, spotting challenges and rectifying blocks early-on.
- Working to improve Hard Services operations through effective vendor selection and management.
- Direct leadership of a Procurement Manager - focusing on growing out our Data Centre division.
- Reviewing and analysis of current spend, identifying opportunities for improved service delivery and cost reduction.
- Developing and implementing learning strategies to embed best practices and expertise throughout the division.
- Close collaboration with QHSE, Finance and Commercial Teams.
Requirements
- ESSENTIAL – Australian Citizenship (required for government work).
- ESSENTIAL –Procurement experience at a senior level within a similarly large matrix organisation.
- Excellent supplier management capability.
- Strong commercial acumen, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and a drive to succeed.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Drivers' License, and ability to travel very occasionally as required.
