The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join ourCredit team as a Credit Controllerbased in either Wingfield SA or Mt Waverley VIC. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business we will continue to strengthen our commercial team by looking to bring new capabilities into the function.
This exciting role will offer variety and scope for a self-motivated, quick thinker and an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a dynamic workplace. In this role where you will manage debtors accounts, you will minimise overdue and high-risk debts whilst delivering a high-quality customer experience.
As your client base will be in Western Australia, the hours of this role will be 10am till 6:30pm if located in SA or 10:30 to 7pm if located in VIC (this will be adjusted to suit daylight savings time difference).
You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team who have a continuous improvement focus. What Will You Do?
In this exciting opportunity, you will:
- proactively manage customer accounts within agreed terms and approved limits
- engage with sales team to proactively manage customer outcomes
- actively manage and provide timely escalation of customer claim deductions
- provide detailed analysis, support and proactive engagement to correct and resolve Trade Debtor delinquent performers
- develop reporting to show Year on Year and Month on Month results against forecast for your customer portfolio
- introduce measures to return customers to correct trade terms
- establish close working relationships with all members of the credit team and other key internal staff and external customers
More About You
As an experienced Credit Controller with excellent relationship-building skills, you will bring:
- a high attention to detail and time management skills
- experience working in a high-volume role
- proficiency in performing reconciliations
- sound skills in Excel and SAP or a similar ERP system
