We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller with great negotiation and interpersonal skills to join our team based in Smithfield.
Key responsibilities –
- Processing new account applications and setting up debtor accounts after reference checking.
- Collecting and allocating payments and reconciling debtor accounts.
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements to customers.
- Follow up overdue customers via phone and email.
- Verifying discrepancies and resolving clients’ billing issues.
- Monitor and chase unpaid accounts, suspending overdue accounts where necessary and ensuring appropriate reminder letters & demand letters are issued.
- Reducing aged debtors and minimisation of bad debt risk.
- Liaise with debt collection agencies.
- Listing defaulters on Creditor Watch.
- Ensure the credit policy is understood and adhered to across the business.
- Ad hoc duties.
- Processing direct deposits payments & banking when required.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years credit control experience with strong communication skills. You will have shown employment stability in your previous positions.
- Strong administration and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Influential personality and ability to make impact. Ability to liaise at all levels internally within the business. Ability to work in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills and proven conflict resolution skills sufficient to handle difficult customers.
