This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated team player to join our Resourcing & Scheduling Team based in Newcastle, which provides critical operational rosters to our New South Wales and South East Queensland operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with rostering, logistics or rail experience.
About the role:
- Ensure resources and schedules are prepared in accordance with operational requirements and enterprise agreements.
- Perform and assist the wider team in maximising efficiency and meeting collaborative deadlines and targets
- Participate in creating and managing Master, Forecast and Daily rosters.
- Assist teams with changes to service plans, asset loading, resource allocations, customer requirements and the impact of major disruptions
- Be accountable for preparing all relevant rosters for crews with sufficient timing and accuracy
- Be responsible for ensuring that competent employees with the appropriate operational knowledge are placed on rosters
- Monitor fatigue management in line with rostering and fatigue management principals
About you:
- Experience with rostering, logistics or rail
- A dedicated team player with a focus on attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to engage and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers
- Ability to interpret and utilise data for the optimisation of business processes and deployment opportunities
- Ability to work weekends on a rotating 7 day roster (day shift only)
- Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft suite and sound general knowledge of rostering software
- Capacity to understand the people issues and how the issues impact the business
- Ability to reach agreement and consensus despite differing goals and priorities
