Form of workAW Bale & Son Solicitors are one of the leading Criminal Law firms in Southeast Queensland, located in Brisbane City. We are currently seeking to expand our close-knit team and employ a Receptionist / Law Clerk.
RECEPTIONIST/LAW CLERK
The role involves dual responsibilities - being the office receptionist and also providing quality administrative and legal assistance to one of our Solicitors. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Being the first point of call for all clients
- General secretarial and administration duties
- Drafting legal documents with precision
- Regularly liaising with clients, Counsel and Court personnel
- Day to day maintenance of client files
- Appearing in Court when necessary
The successful candidate will need to possess the following qualities:
- Competent level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Professional and polite telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team player
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Have a genuine interest in the growth of the firm and their own reputation
- Willingness to go above and beyond the bare minimum
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm - this is not open to negotiation. Our office is located on George Street in the CBD.
