Cultural Engagement Officer
$84,451 - $96,611 pa pro rata + Superannuation
Part-Time 64hrs Per fortnight (Negotiable to be worked over 4 or 5 days, but must work Wednesdays)

About the role:
This role will focus on growing community capacity and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver programs, events and campaigns that celebrate diverse cultures and promote increased harmony and awareness.
It is one of three Cultural Engagement Officers that work within the Community & Cultural Engagement Section, as well as closely with other community focussed roles in the Economic & Community Development Department. While actively working across all of our Cultural Engagement activities, this role is currently primarily focussed on the delivery of our new First Nations Strategy and its Implementation Plan.
The Economic and Community Development team is passionate about positively impacting the Belmont community, and the role is suited to someone wanting to contribute positively to our team’s fun and collaborative workplace culture.
About you:
To be successful for this role you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills that support your demonstrated experience in engaging and partnering with diverse community groups and stakeholder organisations in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
You will have excellent project, program and event delivery skills and experience, as well as solid research, administration and writing skills, together with a strong awareness and passion for impacting upon issues relating to equity-seeking groups, and personal lived experience will be highly regarded.
