The Renewable Energy Project Manager role is pivotal in advancing the renewable energy industry, ensuring client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and fostering innovation. You will develop and delivery Solar Projects for our Business Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers from client acceptance of indicative offer through to project handover (and Defects Liability Period) and will be required to conduct tendering for jobs, on-boarding on new contractors and managing teams of contractors and services providers. We are looking for an Electrician or Qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in Project Management who is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.
Why this role matters?
- Lead the development and delivery of commercial and industrial Solar projects, ensuring successful project execution from inception to handover.
- Manage client interactions and relationships, coordinate with internal and external teams, and oversee all project phases.
- Efficiently allocate and supervise project resources, ensuring optimal utilization and performance.
- Mentor and train Service Providers and Subcontractors to enhance their capabilities and foster their professional growth.
- Take charge of project costs, schedules, and procurement activities, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.
- Oversee contractor and consultant engagements, ensuring project compliance with regulations and contracts, and facilitate smooth handovers.
What will you bring?
- Experience in a similar Solar Project Manager role working on C&I projects
- Qualified Electrician or Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and management of technical projects, programs, or field services
- Strong relationship building coordinating with external stakeholders such as suppliers, councils, network providers etc.
- Experience in the Solar PV, energy, building, engineering or services industries
- Exposure to working with software solutions such as; Salesforce, Nearmaps, PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCad
