Our client provides accessories predominantly for the mining, construction, oil & gas, power generation and other industrial sectors nationally.
Currently there is an opportunity for an experienced candidate to manage the Customer Service function and internal sales. The position facilitates the flow of orders and processes to meet customer specifications and deadlines. This includes understanding requirements, costing jobs, preparation of quotations, completing necessary paperwork for production and ensuring conformance of finished products. You will also provide support to the sales function as required in dealing with customer queries. This includes setting up the system and necessary processes to expedite customer orders and service work and processing orders with the JIM ERP System.
You will also schedule manufacturing and service work with operations and ensure orders and service work is expedited according to necessary lead times and to specification. This includes timely follow up of work orders, checking the final serviced product to ensure conformance, and liaising with suppliers to ensure purchased goods and raw materials are delivered without delays. You will also assisting with general Customer Service, complete sales administration tasks and forecast of customer orders and sales data.
Suitable candidates will have knowledge in mechanical or technical areas and ability to read drawings to understand products. You will have experience using Microsoft office and an ERP system, eg Ostendo or similar, with experience in processing mapping or scheduling. Experience in a customer interface role either in internal sales/Customer Service, trade workshop or similar with experience in a jobbing/service/repair environment would make you a good fit.
