About the company
Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL) is a statutory body that administers a portable long service leave scheme for the South Australian construction industry. In South Australia, employees performing building, electrical or metal trades work predominantly on site are entitled to portable long service leave, meaning they don't have to work with the same employer for 10 years in order to be eligible. Portable Long Service Leave aims to provide the best Customer Service in assisting workers and employers, and to encourage workers throughout the industry to be able to accrue and take their long service leave sooner.
About the Role
As the Customer Service Officer, you will join the small, close knit team at PLSL and will report to the CEO. You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective Customer Service via telephone and email enquiries and also provide administration support to the team.
Duties
Manage the resolution of phone and email enquiries
Greet visitors to the office
Electronic processing of employer returns and worker long service leave claims
Update employee and employer records in the database
Maintain registers in relation to Customer Service activities
Skills & Experience
Excellent Customer Service skills
Rapport building skills and warm phone manner
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
Experience and skills in Microsoft Office including Excel
Ability to work under general direction, prioritise work under pressure and organise time effectively in order to meet deadlines
Ability to act on initiative, solve problems and provide solutions where appropriate
National Police Check, or willingness to undertake
