The Opportunity
As a Customer Service Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver, maintain and promote a welcoming and professional high level of Customer Service and presentation through all customer interactions in-person, online and via phone.
You’ll be up to date on a range of Council’s information databases and programs and will have the ability to interrogate systems to ensure the information provided to customers is accurate and timely.
Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service industry
- Experience in a Call Centre or high-volume phone operations
- To have a passion to deliver the best service with a focus on delivering high resolution at the first point.
- Use initiative and problem-solving techniques for the best customer and business outcomes.
- Excellent numeracy, cash handling, balancing and end of day banking experience.
- Well-developed knowledge of the East Gippsland Shire, region and/ or services.
- Excellent keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft software; Internet; and database products.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and hold a current and valid Working With Children Check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
