About the role
We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our team on a permanent Full Time basis, for 35 hours per week.
The main responsibilities of this role will be to resolve customer enquiries in the call centre, by email and face to face at the front counter, as well as carrying out various administrative tasks and assist with basic law enforcement matters.
About you
Along with your proven experience in providing quality Customer Service in a similar complex environment, your friendly nature, willingness to perform as part of a team and strong communication skills will ensure your success in this role. You will have:
- Proven experience in the delivery of Customer Service in complex customer environments
- A commitment to excellence in Customer Service
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in dealing with customer contact situations
- Proven call centre experience
- Proven experience in customer request Management Systems
- Proven experience in navigating internet based systems to gather relevant information in a timely manner
- Proven experience in conflict resolution, decision making and problem solving
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and various databases
- Excellent attention to detail, accurate data entry and keyboard skills
- A high level of flexibility/adaptability and initiative to handle multiple diverse tasks and work as a team player with a customer focus
- Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health & Safety principles
Desirable Criteria
- Front counter experience, cash handling and security awareness
- Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workloads
- Experience in the Authority Property System, CRM, HPE Content Manager, GIS and Outlook
- Experience in Local Government and a good understanding of local government policies and practices
