About our client:
Our client is an Australian owned freight forwarding company who provides international air and sea service. They pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a friendly work environment for all staff.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customer enquiries are managed effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and deliver excellent customer service to a portfolio of clients
- Manage import and export sea operations using CargoWise
- Arrange bookings with shipping lines ensuring shipments are executed in the most cost/time efficient manner
- Monitor and update shipment status reports
- Respond to queries from overseas offices, suppliers and clients
- Support the sales and management team
- Other duties as required by the Branch Manager
Skills and experience:
- Customer service experience in freight forwarding
- Import air and sea operations experience
- Export air and sea operations experience, not essential
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of computer literacy and experience in using CargoWise 1 software
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, agents, staff and all stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
