The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) consultation-liaison service is a new, dedicated, multi-disciplinary service providing specialist consultation and liaison for children and young people (0-17) experiencing mental health problems (including co-morbid substance use) and their parents/caregivers, admitted or presenting to Royal North Shore or Hornsby hospital paediatric wards, psychiatric emergency care centres (PECC), and other hospital settings as indicated.The Administration Officer will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative and customer support to the CYMHS Consultation-liaison Service to support the achievement of the department's clinical and operational goals.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- High level organisational skills and ability to set priorities to ensure effective workflow, commitment to providing a high quality, professional and consumer-focused service.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills; and demonstrated ability to communicate, consult and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Highly professional phone manner and ability to be able to appropriately respond to callers who may be experiencing high levels of distress or anxiety.
- Well-developed computer skills including demonstrated ability and proven track-record in in data entry and maintaining of databases. Demonstrated efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience or willingness to learn new information systems including: Cerner/eMR, Winc., Oracle, Health Roster, ROB
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision, use initiative and problem-solve in order to reliably contribute to the achievement of organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the capacity to produce reports and prepare technical documents with accuracy and clarity
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high quality, professional and consumer focused service.
- Demonstrated ability to complete detailed work in systematic and accurate manner.
