The opportunity:
Our Security and Technology Solutions team is looking for an experienced data management professional to service our clients in Defence.
The roles are based at our Canberra location, and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model.
This role will require an active NV2 Defence Security Clearance.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan including schedules, risk assessment, and government furnished information requirements.
- Conduct assessments of Navy Operational Data
- Provide feedback to the Commonwealth via the Project Team.
- Deliver initial findings report to the Defence client.
- Develop the draft Scoping Study Report based on findings from initial assessments
- Engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to discuss risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop an engagement assessment matrix of Operational Data
- Document and visualise Operational Data flows and relationships
- Provide a visualisation of the Operational Data landscape.
- Offer recommendations to form the basis of a Navy Operational Data forward work plan.
- Present potential solutions and options for optimising Operational Data management arrangements.
- Incorporate feedback from the Commonwealth and subject matter experts into the final Scoping Study Report
- Facilitate an Integrated Project Team meeting to present the final study and seek Commonwealth concurrence.
- Notify the Commonwealth of any Significant Events affecting the project's conduct or performance and prepare and implement remediation plans for Significant Events as required by the Commonwealth.

- Project Management experience in Defence/Navy Environment
- Operational Data Management experience.
- Understanding of Defence ICT Systems, data storage, data distribution.
- Proficiency in quality management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience within Defence environments.
- Expertise in relevant technical areas such as data and configuration management, systems engineering, and quality management, including advanced practitioner-level skills
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant government standards and regulations pertaining to defence projects, ensuring compliance throughout project execution.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, as well as develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges or disruptions effectively.
