Experience
• Experience with Databricks at the platform level is critical.
• In depth knowledge and understanding of Databrick features and capabilities
• Certification(s) preferred.
• Experience with a range of core AWS and/or Azure Services.
• Knowledge of data lakehouse principles.
• Experience as an architect with technology solutioning is highly desirable
• Data engineering experience on large scale systems.
• Highly proficient in DevOps tooling, e.g. Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, ServiceNow, AppDynamics, Splunk.
• Proficient in software development using Python.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Proficient in scripting languages e.g. bash, groovy.
• Working knowledge of micro-frontends / microservices architecture & container-based application development.
• Proficient in solution design.
Qualification Requirements
• Degree in information systems, computer science or similar
• Actively contribute to planning sessions and other Agile ceremonies across Foundational Platform Engineering.
• Design, build & test components and frameworks for NAB data lakehouse.
• Design detailed solutions.
• Manage a functional area or a collection of related activities to achieve identified objectives. Employees in this group would be expected to provide advice for a variety of diverse tasks or problems based on the application of judgement in their area of expertise/responsibility.
• Continuously improve platform performance, efficiency & capabilities and maintain currency.
• Analyse production incidents when they occur and help work on fixes to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with customers (engineers), to establish their pain points and help drive product backlog.
• Coach / mentor group 3 engineers within the team.
• Operate autonomously and be a problem solver.
