Qualifications & experience
- You may have previous dealership experience with an understanding of the automotive retail industry. You might be familiar with the specific terminology, processes and challenges that are unique to a dealership environment, though not absolutely necessary.
- CPA Qualified or appropriate Tertiary Qualification in business or business administration, with proven capability in financial accounting and reporting.
- Experience with cashflow management, budget management, tax, accounting, financial modeling, business planning, and insurance is pertinent.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate decision making and build relationships with all stakeholders.
- Computer literacy and accuracy.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Dealership Accountant - Financial Controller
- Analysis and reporting, maintenance of accounts records.
- Strategy and planning, management of cashflow, working capital and oversee vehicle inventory.
- Taxation and Compliance. Ownership of month-end close. Oversight of year-end audit close. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to optimize cash flow.
- Supervise and mentor a small administration team..
