About Parade College
Parade College is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. The College aims to help young men grow into well-rounded individuals who will make a meaningful contribution to society. Parade College is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia, dating back to 1871, and has a proud history of excellence in the education and pastoral care of young men. As a long-standing Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition, Parade College strives to be a learning community that offers best practice education and pastoral care to its students to foster fullness of life and holistic growth for all. Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for boys whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.
The College is pleased to announce, our VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Parade College will become co-educational in 2025. The College will welcome full-time female student enrolments for the first time in our long history at Year 11. Starting in Term 1 2025, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, will be expanding our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program will include a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy. Both academies will provide a bespoke educational opportunity that will allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course. (This exciting initiative is subject to final approval by VRQA)
The Position
The Dean of Digital Learning is a passionate educator who has the wisdom, demonstrated skill sets, confidence, experience, drive and commitment to develop and enhance teaching and learning strategies utilising, in part, Digital Learning environments and pathways.
The Dean of Digital Learning is a key leadership in learning role with a focus on building the ICT capacity of staff, to ensure staff are confident and capable of using contemporary educational methods and Digital Learning tools for authentic teaching and learning. This position is also responsible for the leadership of the IT Learning Area.
The Dean of Digital Learning is expected to be a key leader within the school and reports to the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning. A high level of knowledge in the innovative use of ICT across all learning areas and a high level of inter-personal skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s eLearning program within the framework of the school vision and MACS policies and guidelines is required.
Applications are invited for the Dean of Digital Learning position from suitably qualified, highly motivated and innovative leaders with excellent organisational skills and a passion for Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice Tradition and the safety and wellbeing of children.
The successful candidate for this position will commence January 2025. The leadership appointment is for a three year term, with an ongoing teaching position associated with this appointment. This leadership position attracts a Position of Leadership Allowance and generous time release per cycle.
