The Delivery Manager is responsible for delivery of initiatives through all phases of Cochlear's Global Delivery Lifecycle. The Delivery Manager will utilise business agility and continuous delivery techniques & methods appropriate to Cochlear's way of working to find a balance between speed to market and high-quality outputs whilst using fit for purpose solutions to drive a first-class customer experience.
Accountabilities:
- Work closely with agile delivery teams, Product Owners & Stakeholders (Squads & SME's) toplan and execute end to end delivery of assigned Initiatives (for services and products) in or across Outcome Groups
- Facilitate the Global Delivery Lifecycle for assigned initiatives:
- Facilitate the formation of the team, planning the prep work and running the Shaping workshops.
- Manage budget and planning (including vendor management as required) for assigned initiative/s within the Outcome Group
- Facilitate the escalation of Risks and Impediments raised by Squads and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve Impediments. This will involve escalating the
- Risk, Issue or Blocker to the Scrum of Scrums and Group Scrum events.
- Facilitate activities appropriate for the assigned Initiative (e.g. Organising business SME's for User Acceptance Testing, Release Planning across Outcome Groups, Golive (Release Report) management across outcome groups)
- Identify, communicate and manage dependencies across multiple squads and groups.
- Facilitate the delivery of outcomes across multiple agile delivery teams.
- Possess the ability to deliver Agile or Traditional Projects
- Participate and contribute to the Portfolio Practice as required, to drive continuous improvement (of standards and methods defined in the Practice) in the respective Outcome Group & Squad/s.
- Participate in and contribute to Outcome group events to enable successful delivery of assigned initiatives.
- Work with the Portfolio Managers, Program Mangers, broader Portfolio team, Regional and functional Business Partners, and other IT practice members to enable fit for purpose and sustainable solutions for the business.
- Where required, coach or guide individuals, teams or groups to embed Cochlear agility framework.
Minimum:
- Agile Delivery Lead. This means you have been able to deliver outcomes across multiple agile delivery teams.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience (Agile or Traditional)
- 3+ years of delivery experience (or similar) in an Agile environment delivering complex
initiatives with interdependencies across multiple projects and domains.
- Experience working with Agile at scale
- Agile Coaching experience (eg Scrum, Kaban)
- Experience performing Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead type role.
- Experience as a people manager or leader
