We are a global leader looking for a Demand Planner & Inventory Manager for our Omnichannel Fulfilment site in Melbourne. Join a global leader as we embark on an industry-defining digital transformation that will revolutionise trade. Key responsibilities

• Inventory forecasting future demand of products based on historical data, market trends, and business needs
• Oversee inventory management processes and work closely with suppliers to meet projected delivery dates
• Demand Planning with the support of IT statistical models to improve forecasting accuracy and make data-driven decisions.
• Adopt and refine current SOP and further develop the omnichannel supply forecasting strategy.
• Continuous improvement of systems identifying best practice and operational excellence
• Sales analysis , identifying patterns, collaborating with sales, marketing, and operational teams, and developing strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels across multiple categories – perform audits and investigation.
• Manage demand by forecasting delivery, disruptions, stock levels and work with Operations on workforce planning during high demand periods. 
• Analysis of regular inventory reports working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Drive KPI’s and performance to targets.
• Manage inventory lead times, replenishments, and minimum/maximum stock levels.
• Train teams to identify opportunities to move aging SKUs 

People Management/Leadership

• Oversee teams during audits and build on innovation within teams.
• A pragmatic approach in a complex environment managing multiple teams and categories.
• Provide adequate support and coaching for direct reports and give regular feedback on performance.
• Collaborative approach to work and team building and foster career progression. Provide an environment for your team to thrive by embodying the Maersk values.
• Manage team skill base, ensure skills are appropriately distributed throughout the team in order to meet team objectives. 

We’re looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
• Strong leadership and engagement expertise having built a leadership team in a 3PL environment.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in contract logistics environment; preference will be given to candidates who have vertical exposures to Fashion & lifestyle, retail and FMCG.
• Negotiation and problem-solving expertise in a challenging environment.
• Strong Omnichannel Fulfillment experience having delivered key projects in an operational environment.
• Strong analytical skills. 
• Advanced understanding in modern distribution centre operations for different commodity / customers
• Be required to work very flexible hours in order to meet the customer’s fluctuating work requirements, teamwork oriented and able to communicate with people at all levels.
• Energetic, outgoing, resulted oriented attributes.
• Advanced understanding in e-commerce technology, local and cross border fulfilment for different commodity/customers.
• Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
