We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our Dairy team on a 12month fixed term contract at our office in Melbourne. In this unique role, reporting to the Head of Demand and Customer Supply Chain, you will maintain the Business Demand Forecast using appropriate process and systems to ensure that Danone continues to meet its supply commitments for customers & consumers.Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the forecast compilation process, which includes owning both the short-term demand plan and the long-term forecast (rolling 12 months).
- Leading demand planning consensus activities with Sales & Marketing, document forecasting assumptions and decisions in support of the S&OP process, delivering output in the form of Demand Review.
- Responsible for meeting Supply Chain KPI’s for Demand Planning such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias and Customer Service Level.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing monthly performance metrics and qualitative forecast elements to provide insights that challenge the status quo.
- Accountable for delivery of the monthly Demand Review, a pivotal input into the monthly S&OP process.
- Effectively collaborate cross-functionally to bring new products to market and manage withdrawal of discontinued products in an optimal manner.
- Create continuous improvement culture through peer leadership and working cross functionally to develop and implement solutions to drive improved business decisions related to demand planning.
- A degree qualification, preferably in a supply chain or numerical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years Supply Chain Experience and 12 months Planning Experience.
- Advanced level of MS Excel.
- Significant experience in fast moving, manufacturing environment, preferably food or other fast moving, dynamic industry, where shelf life is a constraint.
- Be a very strong communicator with a great ability for stakeholder management.
- Strong presentation skills.
