What You Will Be Doing:
In the last 4 years Demand Planning has grown to represent over 50% of Sales. In this role you will take ownership of the Forecast – Order – Replenish - Review cycle for important, top selling Ranges to ensure we maximise Sales and hit Availability targets
- Prepare and update weekly forecast data
- Review historical sales and stock trends to reconcile variances and improve forward forecast accuracy
- Manage and maintain Stock dynamically to cover promotional and seasonal events
- Determine order quantities and flow schedule requirements
- Review and manage weekly replenishment to the Local Vendor(s)
- Maintain store minimums and maximums for each SKU
- Proactively communicate Sales Forecasts & Order requirements with the Local Vendor(s) on a weekly basis
Provide feedback and suggestions to Departments and the Local Vendor on inventory risks and opportunities - Lead a strong collaborative process among Departments, Retail Ops and the Local Vendor(s)
- Follow up Orders and Non-Fulfilment of store replenishment with the Local Vendor(s)
About You
- Must be experienced in Merchandise Planning or Allocation, preferably Retail
- Numerical, analytical and inquisitive
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and a strong problem solver
- Demonstrated experience of strong commercial / retail acumen
- Ability to build strong working relationships, but also able to work independently
- Ability to present information with confidence to Departments and Local Vendor(s)
- Previous experience with SAP, intermediate Excel skills (inc v-lookups and pivot tables) is preferred
