This is an opportunity to oversee the direction and provision of technology services to business areas across the Bank. This includes technology that underpins critical business functions and key Bank objectives.
As the Deputy Head, Business Engagement, you will lead six Business Engagement teams (with approximately 200 staff) that deliver technology services in support of IT and business strategies and covering business as usual activities, application development and project functions. Your primary focus will be on leading continual improvement in Business Engagement and on ensuring appropriate levels of customer service, Portfolio Deliveryand Application support. You will build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and maintain and improve key processes and measurements to ensure services are aligned with the Bank’s strategic and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Guide and enable a team to drive and support the development of technology strategies in line with business objectives.
Lead multiple Application Portfolio teams to deliver high-quality and timely outcomes that meet departmental and organisational objectives.
Motivate, foster and inspire a culture aligned to the Bank’s values, enabling an environment for high levels of staff Engagement and performance.
Anticipate and effectively manage issues and risks, ensuring processes are consistent with the Bank’s risk appetite.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the various portfolios.
Your background
To be successful in this critical role, you will have;
Proven experience leading developing and motivating teams to deliver effective technology planning, service delivery and Application development functions for financial institutions.
Experience leading large teams, including managing Senior IT Leaders with an emphasis on change management, staff and capability development.
Demonstrated ability in establishing and improving governance and risk controls across complex business and technology environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
