About the role
This full-time permanent Design Coordinator position reports directly to the Marketing Program Leader. This team plays an integral part of the already high performing Corporate Communications Branch; where attention to detail, collaboration and teamwork are celebrated.
As a Brand Coordinator, you will have a diverse sweep of responsibilities, where the ability to communicate, negotiate and coordinate are essential. Building stakeholder relationships are of a high importance in this role as you will be required to liaise with a large number of both internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires you to oversee our organisational brand, coordination of graphic design material, and lead a team of professional graphic designers and support staff. If you are solution focused, out of the box thinker then we should meet!
Your key responsibilities will include managing the design team through allocation of design work, management of performance and capacity planning along with stakeholder engagement and collaboration. Leading a high-performing and productive team with a ‘can do’ attitude, delivering at pace, is expected. You will champion design and brand guidelines across the whole organisation and cultivate a strong design culture, providing insight and displaying best practice, to all designers and embedded teams.
A snapshot of the position:
- Work with a newly established branch across a diverse range of design tasks
- Planning, developing, and delivering creative services for campaigns and projects in a high-volume graphic design environment
- Working across various programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Supervise a team of professional design and multimedia staff
- Provide art direction and supervise the delivery of creative services to ensure strategic alignment
Ideally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in supervising, coordinating, mentoring, and inspiring a diverse team of creative professionals
- Experience in project and account management
- Effective networking, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills
- Understanding of graphic design pre-production and production principles and processes; composition, layout, typography, use of colours
Mandatory:
- Qualifications in Graphic Design, Multimedia or Communications and/or relevant experience.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment and background checks
