Position Overview:
YEM Technology Pty Ltd is seeking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in structural, mechanical, and piping design. The ideal candidate will possess language proficiency in both Mandarin and English and have demonstrated experience in providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements and design fabrication drawings for plateworks, structures, and pipelines.
- Provide site installation methodology for supplied equipment, steel structures, and pipes.
- Perform structural mechanics calculations, including dynamic and static mechanics.
- Optimise structure and pipeline design to improve equipment performance and economic benefits.
- Innovate structural designs based on on-site working conditions and customer needs.
- The ability to comply with site design and engineering specifications within 6 months and fully adhere to Australian Standards within 12 months.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
- Support maintenance and project works with flexibility.
- Undertake international and domestic business trips as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical / Structural Engineering design and manufacturing.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Proficient in mechanical, pipeline, and structural design software (CAD, SolidWorks, and finite element analysis software.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural, pipeline or equipment manufacturing design.
- Demonstrated ability to performing structural calculations and analysis, including dynamic and static mechanics.
- Ability to optimise designs for improved performance and economic benefits. Experience in brownfield upgrade projects is highly preferred.
- Strong structural design innovation capabilities to meet customer needs based on site conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit.
