Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join our team in the Brisbane office.
About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Director and working closely with the CAD Admin Support team, you will lead & support the drafting team,
Oversee the delivery design drafting according to key deliverables, by supervising the performance of the design office,
Coordination of resources across projects & reviewing of deliverables (including 3D models and drawings),
Advocating for design drafting best practice; and contributing to continuous improvement of procedures and systems,
Maintaining a consistent quality of drafting deliverables through continuous monitoring
Deliver & support your team in providing best-practice technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes, and standards.
Comply with the Ausenco Business Management System (or quality) policies and procedure.
Foster an inclusive culture, developing networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and within our clients.
Participate in development activities of staff to help them realise their potential, and the success of our people and business (through training and mentoring).
Achieve appropriate resource levels for each project and study by co-ordinating drafting resources and proactively contributing to recruitment.
Contribute to the cost effective delivery of projects, by working with Clients to identify alternate means to achieve project goals
About you
Relevant Engineering tertiary qualifications
Senior experience in design drafting, across multiple commodities
Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience
Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels
Extensive experience with Autodesk products including AutoCAD, Docs, Advance Steel and Plant 3D. Hexagon SmartPlant3D experience is highly desirable.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
