We are currently looking to fill two permanent positions and a tempoary position within our dynamic team:
Team Leader Development Assessment (Permanent)
This is a great opportunity to take a step up in your career and share your knowledge playing a key leadership role in the team!
This position reports directly to the Section Leader Development Assessment and will manage the Development Assessment Team ensuring prompt, reliable, professional and customer driven Development Assessment (DA) service is provided.
The role is responsible for the provision of expert planning advice to consultants, developers, other directorates and state government agencies, ensuring the assessment and determination of DAs in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations, plus monitoring of workloads and outcomes of the team and delivering on the key priorities.
At Council, we deal with a range of DAs, including a high volume of ‘fast track ‘residential development as well as complex development proposals which will require a fair and equitable, prompt and professional service delivered to our customers.
Development Assessment Officer (Permanent)
As a Development Assessment Officer, you will assess and determine a range of Development Applications (DAs) in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations. At Council, we deal with a range of DAs, including a high volume of ‘fast track' residential development as well as complex development proposals, which are often of a high risk and political nature and will require a fair and equitable, prompt and professional service is delivered to our customers.
Development Engineering Officer (Temporary)
As a Development Engineering Officer you will provide development engineering advice on Development Applications and strategic land use proposals, plus undertake statutory civil works certification responsibilities on behalf of Council.
At this stage, this position is a temporary, 35 hours per week position until December 2022.

Salary
Team Leader Development Assessment
Starting salary from around $107K-$115K, depending upon experience + superannuation
Development Assessment Officer
Starting salary from around $89K-$97K per annum + Superannuation
Development Engineering Officer
Starting salary from $89K-$97K per annum + Superannuation
All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement and the NSW Local Government (State) Awards.
