An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate DevOps Engineer to join the Operations and Security Enablement Team based in Canberra.
The opportunity:
They will work as part of the security team assisting with the development, deployment and management of ICT security capabilities. This is a great opportunity for an DevOps Engineer, with demonstrated experience in Splunk administration to transition and grow within a cyber security engineering team.
Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance.
Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with capabilities.
Upgrading capabilities.
Improving capabilities.
Communication with customers/users.
Communication with product vendors.
The Capabilities this position will be accountable for will include some components within one or more of the following capabilities:
Splunk
SIEM (Splunk ES)
DevSecOps workflows (GitLab, Jenkins, Cloudbees CD/RO)
Container Security (Prisma Cloud / Anchore)
Network Security and visibility (Arkime, Suricata, Zeek, Gigamon, VSS)
Vulnerability Scanning (Tenable/Nessus)
Privileged Access and Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault / CyberArk)
End Point Protection (Cylance, McAfee, Carbon Black)
Other capabilities (Atlassian, OneSpan 2-Factor Authentication)
Automation toolsets (Ansible, Git, Puppet)
Enough about us, let's talk about you. To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following:
Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance.
Experience of Technical University Qualifications relevant to the role or Evidence of a minimum of at least three years or relevant recent experience.
Highly desirable - Certification - Splunk Certified Admin
Experience desirable in Splunk ES
Experience in DevOps automation with interest in security integration.
Experience desirable in containerized applications and container workflows.
Experience in Linux systems administration
Able to support, manage and maintain ICT capabilities to achieve contractual outcomes.
Basic knowledge of ICT Security polices and procedures such as the Information Security Manual (ISM)
