About Your Role
The Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing, planning and delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) in order to support management of their health needs and to promote wellness.
The Level 3 Dietitian has recognised high level clinical skills enabling them to work across a range of clinical areas within their discipline or specialty area and are able to provide novel, complex and critical clinical services to patients, families and carers with a high level of professional knowledge. The Level 3 Dietitian operates autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision and has a consultative role within their area of speciality. The Level 3 Dietitian has an operational/supervisory role within the team, including planning, implementation, and evaluation and reporting on clinical services and are involved in the implementation of MLHD protocols, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
The position will service Oncology patients in Wagga Wagga and work across outpatients and inpatients at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. The position will service clients receiving treatment at the Riverina Cancer Care Centre. The role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other Allied Health, Nursing and Oncologists / Medical teams. The role will sit within the larger Dietetics department including Allied Health Assistants.
