• April start – Initial 6-month contract (potential to be ongoing/permanent)

Six Degrees is excited to be partnering with a well-renowned higher education client known to be an employer of choice, in the recruitment of an exciting Digital Marketing Officer role focussed on Search Engine Marketing (SEM)!

The emphasis is on day-to-day optimisation and refinement of SEM using Google Adwords and Analytics. The position is hands on, in the platform, not briefing an agency or others to do the work. There is less emphasis on client management in this role. There is a need to work with other digital specialists across Web & Digital teams on related functions – SEO and potentially other types of self-service digital advertising. Excellent team and culture with very collaborative environment, this position would suit someone with experience working within a large/complex organisation although Agency experience is also welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and implement Search Engine and Digital marketing campaigns to increase engagement.
• Monitor, analyse and report on the effectiveness of digital campaigns to continually improve channel performance. 
• Monitor campaign budgets and provide recommendations to maximise budget impact.
• Contribute to strategy, conceptualise and execute integrated Digital Marketing campaigns, using Google Adwords (PPC/SEM), Social Media advertising, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other tools.  
• Develop collaborative relationships within the Digital Marketing Team and across Marketing and Communication  to ensure provision of excellent customer service and engaging online user experience.  
• Remain up-to-date with current and emerging Digital Marketing technologies and business systems and provide advice and training to organisational stakeholders as necessary to contribute to best practices and innovation.  

• Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in Digital Marketing, data science, or marketing with subsequent Digital Marketing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating digital campaign tactics to achieve campaign and conversion goals.
• Demonstrated digital literacy and experience in using campaign software, databases, CRM, marketing automation technology to schedule, target, and automate Digital Marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrated experience in using data, insights, and reporting software such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Power BI and MS Excel, to continually improve digital campaigns and assets (Google Ad words & Analytics essential).
• Demonstrated interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively and form working relationships with a broad range of individuals.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet deadlines.
