About the Role
As the Diploma Qualified Educator and Responsible Person, you will be supporting the permanent educators in providing a place where children from the ages of three to four years feel loved, safe, and supported. You will value outdoor / natural play-based curriculum and will build relationships with families through professional communication and a genuine interest in the well-being of children.
Duties
- Adhere to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Supervise children under your care and advocate for their rights
- Ensure documentation in relation to programming is kept up to date
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Nurture the whole child’s development, respecting the children’s individual needs, abilities and interests
Skills & Experience
- Experience in working in a Long Daycare or Early Learning Centre (Desirable)
- Ability to document children's individual and group development
- Sound Knowledge of EYLF, NQF and Child Safe Environments
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Collaborative approach in a team environment and teamwork
Mandatory Qualifications & Licences
- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- RRHAN - Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect
- First Aid (CPR refresher after 12 months)
- Australian Working Rights
