The role The Centre for Public Health Regulatory Excellence (CPHRE) aims to foster excellence in Public Health Regulatory practice and build community confidence in Queensland Health as an effective, model best practice regulator for the protection of Public Health.
As the Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the CPHRE, embedding a culture of Regulatory Excellencefor Public Health portfolio legislation across Queensland Health. You will navigate complex administrative and policy environments to effectively deliver required outcomes for Public Health portfolio legislation. Finally, you will facilitate strong and effective professional and consultative relationships and provide expert advice to influence key internal and external stakeholders, including other QPHaSS branches, Public Health units, and other government agencies.
The successful personYou will have expertise in complex contemporary Public Health and regulatory practices, serving as a state-wide resource for internal and external stakeholders. Your demonstrated abilities include leading the development and interpretation of complex information, contributing to improvements in Public Health Regulatory frameworks, privacy, confidentiality, legislative reform, and policy practices.
Additionally, you should possess advanced research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Your capacity to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative approaches for addressing complex, time-sensitive issues, while providing strategic and operational management to a diverse multi-disciplinary team in a large and complex organization, is essential.
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree in Public Health or health sciences or equivalent, with relevant postgraduate qualifications being advantageous. Proof of qualifications is required before commencing duties.
