Robe is in a diverse and beautiful region on South Australia’s magnificent Limestone Coast, with an abundance of attractions to offer. 

Three and a half hours by road from Adelaide and approximately six hours from Melbourne, Robe is a central point between the Great Ocean Road and Southern Ocean Drive trails.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director Corporate Service is a key member of Council’s Executive Management Team and is accountable for the provision of high quality, efficient and effective corporate support for the Council, the Robe community, and visitors.

Assisted by a skilled team, the breadth of the portfolio will include:

• Executive Management, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
• Governance & Risk Management
• Organisational Development
• Financial & Rating Services 
• Property Management
• Information Management &Technology

In addition to the ability to effectively prioritise a busy and diverse schedule of work, high level written and verbal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate with a range of audiences and stakeholders is essential, the successful candidate must also have:

• The ability to be a change management champion, with a track record of inclusivity, innovation and mentorship.
• Capability to initiate, prepare and present to Council Members and colleagues, complex reports and proposals which can be understood by a non-technical audience.
• Relevant experience in a senior role as either an emerging leader or established Executive within local government.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced skills in the interpretation and implementation of appropriate legislation, industrial awards and agreements, policies and procedures.
