The purpose of this role is to lead the Data and Analytics Division for the Sony Music AU/NZ region. As the Data and Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of data strategies, overseeing data collection, analysis processes, and providing insights to support informed decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong background in data management, analytics and leadership.What you'll do
- Responsible for a team of 1 direct report (with potential growth of team)
- Develop and execute data strategies to support organizational goals and objectives
- Consult with the business to identify areas of strategic analysis to answer key questions to build out recommendations and best practices
- Be responsible for a central data and Analytics team; ensuring reporting consistency, focusing on the high value business problems and displaying exemplary collaboration across all departments
- Spearhead the roll-out of the global analytics toolset alongside our Global Data Science & Analytics team
- Collaborate with the global analytics community to intake and share best practices across the ANZ business
- Collaborate with internal teams - label and sales teams, business and partner development - and share findings from analyses
- Understand data sources and systems to ensure data integrity and report accuracy
- Explore new methodologies and technologies in the Analytics space to enhance our business offering
- Build data intelligence capabilities in the region and add value through a data-driven approach on content, playlist, and marketing strategies
- Develop data driven dashboards for use within various SME teams to help users better understand each partner and drive actions which result in stronger SME performance.
- Present analysis, special projects and other findings to senior management across Sony Music
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and Analytics
- Ability to use insights to inform business decisions
