St Michael's Association Inc. is a not-for-profit non-government organisation of approximately 200 employees working across North and Northwest Tasmania. Supporting, empowering and providing accommodation services to Tasmanian's living with a disability, to develop their independence, has been how St Michael's has operated for over 50 years. This is an exciting opportunity to join the St Michaels' team and contribute to this mission.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, our Director of Finance and Administration oversees an integrated suite of corporate service functions including finance, office administration and asset management. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, your friendly demeanour, collaborative leadership style and alignment with our values will be key to your success as will be your hands-on approach and willingness to chip in and get things done.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of exceptional leadership and support to the Corporate Services team.
- Oversight and management of accurate administration and financial records.
- Management of the Association’s payroll functions.
- Preparation of financial statements for Board and audit requirements.
- Annual budget preparation and management.
- Provision of support to the CEO as required.
About You:
You are likely an experienced Corporate Services Manager or an experienced finance professional who has had experience managing other corporate services functions such as office administration and IT.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate the following:
- Degree qualification in Finance/Business or similar disciplines and relevant finance industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing Corporate Services functions.
- Strategy development, implementation and evaluation skills.
- Capability to build and lead high performance teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Business acumen and broad commercial and financial management skills.
- Ability to liaise with all people regardless of position, including the Board, all staff, clients and key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship development skills.
