Mission Aviation Fellowship is a unique Christian relief and development charity operating 130 light aircraft in over 30 countries. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers in the world's remotest regions: places of deepest human need where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We have operated for over 75 years and have developed into a substantial aviation services charity.
As the Director of Finance Planning & Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be responsible actively engaging in the financial leadership of the organisation, and representing the finance function as a member of the Operations Leadership Team (OLT).
In this role, you will provide guidance on financial Planning and Analysis, directing internal audit, ensuring proper development of budgets and forecasts, overseeing financial modelling, and leading strategic financial planning for operations.
You must also have excellent communication skills, be proactive and organised. There is an occupational requirement for the successful candidate to be able to align themselves with MAF's Christ centered vision, mission and core values.

Essential criteria:
- A pro-active, service orientated, senior finance professional with a degree and post-graduate accounting qualification, and familiar with Charity and Company law.
- Aptitude in numerical and verbal reasoning, an aptitude for communication at all levels, the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- At least three years post-qualified experience including partnering with operational managers including the provision of critical financial insight to support strategic
decision making, oversight of projects and financial modelling. - Able to work in a culturally appropriate way, across a diverse organisation, providing support to senior managers based worldwide.
- Strategic and independent thinking, initiative, self management and results orientation.
