JKL Support Services Pty Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for you to secure employment with a newly established Disability Support service. JKL have several opportunities in the Tamworth region for Experienced Disability Support Workers to join a dynamic team.
Are you a compassionate individual with previous relevant experience in providing support? We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in a caring and empathetic manner.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Engage in meaningful activities and promote social interactions.
- Maintain accurate records via Shiftcare app and report any concerns or observations to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a Support Worker role is essential.
- Ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Compassionate nature and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Availability for flexible casual shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle challenging situations with patience.

About the Position
Our support team are responsible for directly supporting people in their day-to-day lives while building independence to undertake their activities of choice. JKL provide customers opportunities to direct their own individuality and feel engaged as a valued member of the community.
This position is open to applicants who have experience across a range of support services. We would welcome applicants with experience in supporting people with challenging behaviours and/or high physical needs.
We have Casual positions available for the right candidates to commence as soon as practicable.

- Willing and able to work shifts including weekends and public/school holidays
- Reliable and responsible disposition
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Confident and resilient
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to obtain a National Police check prior to commencement
- Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Smart Phone to access internal communication
- Current Driver's License, own vehicle and proof of comprehensive car insurance before commencement
- First Aid
