Inclusive Support Service is a client-focused NDIS Registered Provider who believe in providing a standard of care that we would want for our own families!
We are currently looking to expand our team of highly-skilled, committed, and reliable Disability Support Workers at client sites in Burpengary, Zillmere and Narangba.
Duties:
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
In home support:
- Personal Care assistance, such as toileting, showering, grooming, dressing, hoisting, repositioning. (on a 24 hour basis, including active overnights)
- PEG and NG feeding (including medication administration)
- Suctioning
- Implementing in home therapy plans (including standing frame, structing program, communication tools)
- Promoting child attachment based relationships and encouraging children to meet developmental milestones.
- Monitoring the well-being of the clients and reporting/ documenting their progress.
- Domestic Duties, including general household cleaning/ tidying.
Community Access:
- Transporting to medical/therapy appointments, and school.
- Encouraging clients to develop independence in their everyday lives, both in the home and out in the community
- Planning activities for the children across the week.
- Supporting attendance at Early Child Development Program (ECDP)/school.
- Encouraging clients to participate/progress in their desired educational, vocational, and well-being programs.
- Supporting clients to establish and maintain social relationships by participating in recreational activities and facilitating community inclusion;
- Fostering positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, including allied health and Dept Child Safety, Senior and Disability Services.

Essential:
- Cert IV or above in one of the following:
- Individual Support
- Youth Work/Youth Justice
- Disability and Community Services
- Community welfare/Community Development
- Mental Health/Psychology/Nursing
- Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Early Childhood Education and Care
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care/Education
- Paid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation certificate
- Open QLD Driver’s License and willingness to drive company vehicles
- Smartphone with internet access
- Covid-19 vaccinated, in accordance with current state-mandated vaccination requirements for staff working in disability accommodation
- Valid working visa (where applicable)
Preferred:
- Min. 1 years’ industry experience. Must be comfortable and confident with personal care and in the use of mobility aids, wheelchairs, shower chair, manual / electric hoist
- Experience working with children would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience supporting clients with intellectual care needs (desirable)
- Experience supporting clients with mental health care needs (desirable)
- Experience working with Communication Tools such as Key Word Sign/PODD book
- Experience working with vision and hearing impairment
