Our client is a 24-year-old female who lives with her family in Seaford Rise. After acquiring a Spinal Cord Injury she requires morning and evening support to assist her to live a fulfilled life.
The applicant must be confident, reliable, respectful, resilient and fun loving. A love of dogs and horses would be advantageous and must be able to transport our client in your own vehicle.
All successful Support Workers that will assist her will understand the complexities of Spinal Cord Injuries, have a strong work ethic & have a proactive approach to ensuring the client needs are met consistently.
Essential Requirements (Current):
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent/approved healthcare accreditation)
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- DHS Disability Services Employment Clearance or NDIS Worker Check
- DHS Working with Children Check
- Reliable Vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Right to work in Australia
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience working with physical disabilities in particular spinal cord injury
