DESCRIPTION:
Casual role, Wellingtion based
We are seeking applicants that are passionate about making a real difference in people's lives and strive to help others with the day-to-day care of our clients who are living with a disability (NDIS). These positions will involve residential, community and in home support and duties will include:
- Providing practical assistance with living and life skills
- Take clients to community services/social activities
- Implementation of behavior management strategies
You must be willing to:
- Work Flexibly across a 7 day/night roster, which may include include shift work, weekend, public holidays, night shifts including overnight.
- Experience in working in this field, is highly regarded but not essential
- Flexibility to provide supports across disability, programs, is also desirable.
- Patience and resilience
- Willingness and ability to work with complex and challenging behaviors.
- PRIOR to commencement, your eligibility to apply for or hold current: (these are to be maintained at your own expense).
- MUST have a paid WWCC
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Pass a Police check
- First Aid Certificate
- Drivers Licence
Further Criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to establish a professional working relationship with clients that is supportive, encouraging, and challenging.
- Ability and willingness to, work in a diverse range of settings including but not limited to – a person’s home or place of residence, other services, community groups and other community settings.
