Opportunities:
We have multiple opportunities across the Melbourne greater region for flexible and committed Disability Support Workers. All applicants must be willing and able to drive to shift locations across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.

Requirements:
-- Must be willing and able to drive.
-- Must hold a Certificate 3 in Disability or higher.
-- Must have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities.
-- Minimum 2 years’ personal care experience.
-- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
-- Ability to communicate with non-verbal clients.
-- Strong personal care skills, including showering and toileting.
-- Experience working within complex environments.
-- Reliable and punctual.
-- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
-- Ability to stay motivated whist working unsupervised.
-- Exhibit the highest levels of professional integrity and confidentiality.
-- Right to work in Australia.
-- Must have great availability including days, weekends, sleepovers, and active awake shifts.
-- Passionate about helping people with Mental disabilities and complex behaviours.
-- Creative and can think outside the box.
-- Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
-- Reliable and organized.
-- Assisting client in a range of daily activities including medication reminders, domestic duties, cleaning, food preparation, mealtime assistance, dressing, and maintenance of personal hygiene.
To be successful in this role, you must hold or be willing to obtain prior to employment:
-- Must be willing and able to drive.
-- Certificate 3 in Disability or higher.
-- Must have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities.
-- Right to work in Australia.
-- National Police clearance certificate.
-- NDIS worker screening check.
-- Full comprehensive car insurance.
-- Right to work in Australia.
-- Reliable transport and Australian driver’s license.
-- Working with Children check.
-- First aid certificate and CPR.
--Mental health first aid is highly desired but not essential.
