We currently have the following two vacancies based in the Trade area at our large and busy Kingston site.
Dispatch Co-ordinator – Kingston
The role of Dispatch Co-ordinator is to assist in the planning, co-ordination & scheduling of deliveries. You will monitor & adjust the schedule as required ensuring you communicate with customers & key stakeholders to ensure an efficient delivery schedule.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Plan & Co-ordinate daily delivery schedule for timber and building supplies coordinating with customers, drivers and trade staff for delivery times which meet both business and customer needs.
- Liaise with Yard Supervisor to ensure orders are prepared prior to delivery.
- Assist truck drivers to prepare goods for delivery and ensure building hardware is ready to go out for delivery.
- Inform Customer and Account Manager of any product unavailability prior to delivery, substitute in the first instance where appropriate if it suits the customer.
- Communicate delays in schedule as they occur to the Customer and Account Manager.
- Facilitate customer orders and purchase orders as required.
- Monitor Driver performance , identify opportunities for development, identify poor performance and advise Trade Manager accordingly.
- Check and sign off on each individual order once loaded and escalate incomplete orders to Trade Manager.
- Manage outsourced freight requirements to meet the needs of both the business and the customer.
- Responsible for ensuring all cartage charges for deliveries meet company policy.
- Responsible to report for all truck and Hiab maintenance requirements.

Dispatch Administration Assistant – Kingston
The role of Dispatch Administration Assistant is to assist in the planning & co-ordination of deliveries. By overseeing transfers, you will liaise with staff across all CM10 branches to ensure that stock moves efficiently and accurately between stores. The intention is to ensure all deliveries are “Delivered In Full & On Time” (DIFOT).
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Assist Dispatch Co-Ordinator with any necessary administration duties, to ensure our delivery service
meets both business and customer needs. - Liaise with Pick & Pack teams & other relevant staff to ensure orders are prepared prior to delivery.
- When orders are complete and ready for delivery, make any necessary alterations to the Customer Order, and inform relevant Team Members of changes.
- As they occur, communicate delays in schedule to the Customer or relevant Clennett’s Team Members.
- Assist in checking off outgoing delivery trucks for accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring all Incoming Transfers & stock collections are checked off against paperwork,
and paperwork makes its way to relevant Team Member to receive in.
