About the Role
Andrews Meat Industries (AMI) is currently recruiting an experienced Dispatch General Hand to join our team in a full-time capacity. We have a fleet of 35+ trucks leaving our production site mid-morning every day to deliver just-in-time goods to our valued foodservice customers. This role has been designed to help smooth out the dispatch process and alleviate pain points across the packing and transport team.
Work Hours
- 38 hours a week plus overtime when required
- Start time between 2am and 4am
- 8 hour shifts
Hours allow for school run pick-ups!
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Providing full support in the packing area to ensure deliveries go out promptly
- Escalating gaps in dispatch delays and adhere to dispatch schedules
- Ensuring dispatched goods meet all requirements including quality, timeframes and labeling
- Organising and preparing pallets for drivers to load into trucks
- Acting as a back-up delivery driver when required (mandatory)
- Assisting with picking and packing when required (mandatory)
- Working in chiller room temperatures
- Physically lifting crates of meat or boxes
About You
- Full drivers licence (a must)
- High team engagement
