National Patient Transport (NPT) is a leading provider of Non-Emergency Patient Transport. With a large fleet of ambulances, wheelchair vehicles and sedans NPT offers customers diverse transport options. NPT customers include Ambulance Victoria, Metropolitan and Regional public and private hospitals and the community.
NPT provides patient transport services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
NPT is currently recruiting a Dispatcher/Call Taker for our Operations Centre based in Noble Park. We require employees who are committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. This role involves answering calls from hospitals and other customers and dispatching vehicles to service customers and patients. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and prioritising bookings and allocating resources in an extremely fast paced environment that requires exceptional forward planning and prioritisation.
We currently require employees to join the team on a casual or permanent basis with the flexibility to work day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts.

- Ability to liaise with customers and health care professionals at all levels;
- High level organisational and time management skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts in a 24/7 environment;
- Computer competency and the ability to learn new systems;
- Well-developed interpersonal skills;
- A good working knowledge of the geography of the state of Victoria;
- Health and medical terminology understanding an advantage;
- Experience working in a Customer Service Centre highly regarded.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
