We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Manager to join our team based in our Linley Valley Pork site, reporting to the Operations Manager. The Distribution Manager will manage the supply chain of goods, and ensure they are distributed in the most efficient manner.
Ensuring all outward goods are picked, packed, and dispatched in an accurate and efficient manner in accordance with Linley Valley Pork best practice guidelines and procedures, including OH&S and legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop Marshalling and Night Shift Teams.
- Understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensure goods are packed, sealed, and addressed as per procedure, ensuring dispatch to correct store or customer by the Marshalling Team.
- Ensure staff understand and adhere to HACCP regulations.
- Supervising and assisting in stock counts, stock reports and audit procedures.
- Ensure load/unload of containers and delivery vehicles as required.
- Liaising with customers regarding documentation and despatch of goods.
- Coordinating and scheduling load out and Logistics for all frozen products Domestic and Export.
- Manage the team and assist in coordinating load out and logistics for air freight.
- Investigating inventory discrepancies and suggesting measures for improvement.
- Provides current and meaningful daily and weekly reports to the Operations Manager.
- Attends weekly department meeting and other meetings as requested.
- Tracks and shares external trends, best practices, and ideas with operational managers.
- Works collaboratively with other departments managers to seek and implement efficiency improvements and best practice initiatives.
- Performs all duties in accordance with the Company values and code of conduct.
Essential knowledge, skills, and experience
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be an excellent communicator both oral and written.
- Demonstrated high level of organisational, time management, prioritising tasks etc.
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask are essential.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
- Experience in leading effective teams.
Desirable knowledge, skills, and experience
- FMCG industry experience.
- Good knowledge of pork meat cuts.
- Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration, management, or industrial technology
- Experience in Lean/ Six Sigma analysis and implementation in an agribusiness or manufacturing environment.
