About the Role
This role is a new, exciting and unique opportunity to work across Perth and our sites in the North and South with the base site being negotiable. This role will oversee and drive Workskil Australia’s employer engagement function at a regional/state level, manage Employment Brokers, and develop employer-led projects for the inclusion and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and jobseekers with a prior offender history across all Workforce Australia employment programs. Your time will be equally divided between Specialist (Prior Offender) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander initiatives. The most successful applicant for this role would be someone looking for variety in a fast paced environment, and who wants to make a positive impact in the community.
You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary package. About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
  • Generate and manage tailored employment projects for Workskil Australia job seekers, encompassing bulk recruitment, pre-employment programs, work experience and industry visits,
  • Conduct high value business development and marketing activities to engage regional and state-based employers, including development of professionally written proposals and presentations, which effectively sell Workskil Australia services.
  • Proactively manage employer relationships, maintaining high-quality account management practices. and how to leverage opportunities for Workskil Australia customers.
  • Collaborate with the National Business Development Manager, National Diversity and Inclusion Manager, and other key stakeholders to secure and execute regional and state-based employment projects.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with employers engaged in Reconciliation Action Plans, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Prior Offender employment strategies.
  • Provide support to employers through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Awareness Training and Cultural Awareness Packages.
  • Drive Reconciliation Action Plan initiatives within Workskil Australia to improve internal cultural competency.
  • Ensure administrative and compliance processes are adhered to, and system databases and reports are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage, coach and lead Employment Brokers to account manage employers in their Employment Region.
  • Ensure Employment Brokers meet performance, quality, and compliance metrics.
  • Positively engage with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional interactions aligned with Workskil Australia Values, Code of Conduct, and policies.
  • Adhere to the Integrated Management System and actively contribute to continuous improvement activities.
You will also be required to:
  • Hold a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development (or higher qualification or be willing to obtain).
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing (minimum 30 words per minute)
  • Have sound knowledge of the local labor market and typical job roles for job seekers.
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and communities.
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of barriers to employment for job seekers with a prior offending history.
  • Be culturally competent in understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other predominant refugee and migrant cultural groups serviced by Workskil Australia.
  • Ideally you would have a minimum of three years of recruitment and employment services experience.
  • Basic understanding of WHS Responsibilities.

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
