Document Controller/Procurement Officer

We are one of Queensland’s foremost structural steel fabricators and erectors with a solid 43-year history in the construction industry and are responsible for some of the most prominent structures around South-East Queensland. Due to the recent expansion into our new modern facility and an increase in tendering activity and projects under construction, we are looking to employ a Document Controller/Procurement Officer to join our growing Design and Project Management team. 

You will be responsible for:

• As Document Controller: management of documentation associated with all aspects of each fabrication and construction project, from tender stage right through to completion including issuing drawings and ordering purlins, bolts and anchors
• General administration duties to assist the Design and Project Management team
• As Procurement Officer: you will be responsible for the ordering of steel members

To be successful you will need:

• High level of organisational and communication skills
• Medium to high level of computer literacy
• Ability to multi-task, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to efficiently manage your own workload to meet pressing deadlines
• To be reliable and dependable
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Previous experience in the structural steel industry and a trade background will be highly regarded
• Qualified welders or boilermakers looking to further their career in the construction industry are encouraged to apply
