The Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Document Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the documentation process within our company, ensuring that all documents are accurately recorded, stored, and easily retrievable. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects within our company.
Responsibilities include:
- Document control administration duties, including the creation, distribution and maintenance of all project-related documents.
- Ensure that all documents comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an organised filing system for easy retrieval of documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the flow of information and documentation.
- Work with the management team, Project Managers, and Project Engineers to coordinate and monitor all project documents and related administrative requirements from start to close, ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
- Maintain electronic project file structure.
- Liaise with Project Management to provide relevant information and close out of SDS.
- Check project supplier document schedules.
- Create and build final documentation e.g., MDR, IOM etc.
- Postproduction checking, scanning, and filing of ITP records and any other product certification.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Requirements-
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role in the electrical industry.
- Familiarity with document control systems and software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in administrative duties.
Desirable-
- Certificate in Business Administration and/or Project Administrator and Document Control training/qualifications.
- Experience in a construction/ manufacturing/ engineering industry- electrical is preferable.
- QDMS exposure highly regarded.
