Due to growth Palm Lake are hiring a qualified Draftsperson that is well versed in Revit to join our team based in Southport. This is a full time role being office based Monday to Friday.
We are looking for a drafter with experience working with site and masters plans to ensure all details are captured for our homes. Experience in volume home building, with high end details is also advantageous.
Primary Duties of the Position:
- Provide accurate drafting work within required deadlines;
- Generate fully completed and documented construction drawings for each house design for those sites currently under construction;
- Assisting with designing new homes and improving current designs;
- Provide plans for variations, understanding client specifications;
- Sitting buildings on prepared surveyors CAD drawings in accordance with client specifications;
- Thorough understanding and application of local government regulations, standards and building codes;
- Analysing issues, researching and problem solving;
- Liaise with site and sales, town planners, councils and external consultants as required;
- Assist with site layouts as required for new developments;
- Assisting with civils plans, including electrical stormwater and plumbing;
- Provide sales offices with plans to be used as part of a sales pack;
- Any other drafting requirements or other duties as requested.
The successful applicant will have;
- Qualified Drafter or Cert IV in drafting;
- Current industry experience with minimum 2 years, preferably with residential/volume builders;
- Advanced skills in Revit is essential;
- Sound construction knowledge, with a good understanding of design and building materials;
- Excellent organisational skills, Self-motivating with ability to set work priorities to ensure deadlines and commitments are met;
- A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy;
- Excellent communication skills along with written and verbal communication skills;
- Behaves professionally and ethically and accepts responsibility for own actions.
- Demonstrated competent computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- A current C class licence.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
